The international conference "Bridging the gap between neurorights and cyberights: introducing new ethical and legal safeguards for protecting humans in the digital era", organized by the Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics, Development), in collaboration with the Digital Humanism Research Network (Suor Orsola Benincasa University - ReCEPL Center, University of Salento - Interdepartmental Research Center in Digital Humanities) is scheduled for Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Aula Magna of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies.

Promoting a dialogue between philosophy and law, the conference aims to develop an innovative perspective on the issue of the protection of the person and human rights in the face of the proliferation of digital technologies, which are increasingly integrated into every aspect and dimension of human life, and therefore potentially capable of creating new dimensions of harm that are still vaguely defined at the ethical and legal level. In particular, the speakers will answer, from different perspectives, the question that inspires the title of the event, whether more comprehensive protection of the person in digital society can result from a fruitful dialogue between "neurorights" and "cyberights."
